Terms of service

These terms are between you and the operator of Console VPN (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or subscribing you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the service.

1. What the service does

Console VPN operates a DNS resolver and a set of relay servers. When your console is configured to use our resolver, we answer a specific, limited set of Call of Duty login and matchmaking lookups with addresses that route those requests through a relay in a region you choose.

It is not a VPN tunnel. Your gameplay traffic does not pass through our servers. Only the lookups listed above are affected; everything else your console does resolves and connects normally and directly.

2. What we do not promise

• We do not promise any particular matchmaking outcome, lobby difficulty, skill bracket, or opponent standard. We cannot see or control how the game matches you.
• We do not promise a particular latency or ping. Your connection to the game is your own; we are not in that path.
• We do not promise that any specific region stays available. Regions are occasionally blocked at the network level, and we withdraw or replace them when that happens.
• We do not promise the service works with every title, platform or future game update. Publishers change how their services work without notice and sometimes that breaks us until we catch up.

3. Your game publisher’s terms

This is the most important clause on the page. Activision and other publishers set their own terms of service for their games, and those terms generally give them broad discretion to restrict, suspend or ban accounts. Changing the region you are matched in is not something they offer, endorse or support.

You are responsible for your own compliance with your publisher’s terms. We do not indemnify you against action taken against your game account, and we cannot appeal it on your behalf. If that risk is unacceptable to you, this product is not for you — and you should decide that before you subscribe rather than after.

4. Your account and your IP address

Access to a relay is granted to a specific home IP address, which you give us. You must not share your account, resell access, or give your relay addresses to anyone else. We may withdraw access without refund if we see an account being used from many unrelated networks.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself, and for keeping your home IP address up to date in the app if your ISP changes it.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

• break the law in your country or ours;
• attack, scan, overload or interfere with anyone else’s systems;
• evade a ban, suspension or enforcement action against you;
• resell, rebrand or operate the service on behalf of others.

We may suspend an account immediately, without refund, for any of the above.

6. Payment and renewal

Subscriptions are billed in advance by Stripe and renew automatically at the interval shown when you subscribe, until you cancel. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include VAT where it applies. Cancellation and refunds are covered in our cancellation and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

We may change prices. If we do, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service running continuously but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime figure and this is not an enterprise service. If a relay fails we move you or replace it. If the service is unavailable for an extended period, contact us and we will deal with it fairly — see the refunds policy.

8. Ending the agreement

You may cancel at any time from your billing page. We may end your access by giving you notice and refunding the unused part of your current period, or immediately and without refund if you have broken clause 5.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by anything here.

Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss of game progress, game account access, or anything a publisher does to your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
