It is not a tunnel
Your gameplay traffic never touches our servers. Only the login and matchmaking lookups are relayed, which is why your ping is unchanged and why there is nothing to install on the console.
Set it up once
Two DNS addresses on your console, entered once. After that you change region from this app and the console never gets touched again. We walk you through it and tell you when it has actually worked.
If it doesn’t work, don’t pay
You can see the region your game reports in its own settings screen. If it hasn’t changed, the product hasn’t done its job — tell us and cancel, rather than keep paying on the assumption it will.
Worth knowing before you buy
Changing your matchmaking region is not something Activision offers or endorses, and their terms of service give them wide discretion over accounts. We think the risk is low and we have run this for years, but we will not tell you it is zero, and you use it at your own risk. Read the terms before you subscribe.
We also can’t promise a specific lobby difficulty, a specific ping, or that any given region stays available — regions occasionally get blocked at the network level and we swap them out when that happens.
